Job Overview:

This position is full time: Monday thru Thursday 7:45 am - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:

Setting and breaking down the treatment room, sterilization, seating the patients in a timely manner, taking x-rays, and assisting the doctor for all procedures.

Experience with fabrication of temporary crowns and cord packing without Doctors’ assistance is welcomed, but not required.

Ensuring patient charts and notes are up to date and discuss post-op care with patients.

Prepping and packaging lab cases to ship off, unpack newly arrived lab cases and communicate receipt of cases to the front desk.

Assisting with inventory of supplies and general cleaning/organization in the office.

Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess, though not preferred, the following skills:

Hold a current CPR certification, AND have successfully completed a CODA-accredited dental assisting program or one academic year or longer in a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program, OR

Have completed a 3-hour course in sterilization and infection control and complete a 3-hour course in dental office emergencies and, after completing these courses, along with training in any dental delivery setting and perform the functions of a Dental Assistant II under the direct control and supervision of a licensed dentist.
